The Sermon on the Mount retold in story, song and music
Found in the 5th, 6th and 7th Chapters of the book of Matthew, the words from this Sermon permeate every culture on the face of the Earth today. Jonathan Richard Cring and Janet Clazzy, known as Cring & Clazzy, have translated the revolutionary work into inspirational entertainment–an anointed blending they call enterspiration.
Jesus was ahead of his time. In each of the three chapters, he actually spoke in sound bites:. Check it out:
- You are the salt of the earth
- Let your light so shine
- Go the second mile
Cring & Clazzy sum up the spirit of the chapter with title cut from their new CD, Give Me a Smile:
- Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
- Lay up treasure in heaven
- Take no thought
Cring & Clazzy perform Cring’s Abba Overture –The Lord’s Prayer
- Judge not lest ye be judged
- Ask, seek and knock
- Build your house on the rock
Cring’s ballad, Let, is full of the wisdom from Chapter 7
There are times in my life … Nothing comes repairs the breech …
I can see a distant hope … Lying just beyond my reach…
Let it blow …

Jonathan Richard Cring is a composer, screenwriter and international columnist. Janet Clazzy, his partner of nineteen years, is a master of the Yamaha WX5 Wind Machine , a horn with the sounds of 250 instruments. Frequently called “the biggest 2-piece band in America,” they employ stories and music to showcase the wisdom and wit that Jesus brought to his life on earth.
How do we know the message works? When there is no separation between what we believe and what we are. As the Sermon closes, the people were astonished, because Jesus spoke from a place of reality … and not like the religious leaders.
It will leave you feeling … well, blessed!
